I've actually had custody of my grandson for 6 years now (he's 7). It's a different world when you raise a grandchild. There are so many emotions involved. There's frustration because you don't have the freedom you were "supposed to have by now", and happiness that you get a second chance because you learned so much from raising one of their parents. There's confusion too, because this child isn't exactly like any of your children.
Is there a point to this post? No. Just ramblings from a grandparent who loves their grandchild and their freedom.
